Manufacturing Process Engineer
In this capacity, the position will support/facilitate manufacturing process improvement efforts and plans. The role will work with all levels of the organization to provide deep analysis and guidance on crucial business processes.
This position will also be responsible for leading/implementing cost reduction initiatives, introduce and implement Statistical Process Control techniques as well as associated measurement and control systems, assist and develop Training programs, and provide administrative and program support to Reengineering activities at the site.

Essential Job Functions
- Technical Reference and “gate keeper” for major technical changes in the key critical process and/or equipment
- Builds new models and/or tools using advanced statistical knowledge and techniques.
- Develop and maintain a capability/ opportunity matrix for the assets at the plant, relative to safety, quality, reliability and production.
- Lead standardization of appropriate assets and procedures
- Support and facilitate Manufacturing Process Improvement efforts and plans.
- Develop and initiate cost reduction programs in the assigned manufacturing area.
- Introduce and implement SPC techniques and associated measurement and control systems.
- Assist and develop Training program initiatives.
- Provide Administrative support to Reengineering activities
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical), statistics (or other applied science fields)
- 0-5 years’ experience in manufacturing strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability in Process control/Process mapping
- Experience with advanced statistics (regression, control charting) and software such as MiniTab, Statistica, Dataminer, etc.
- Six Sigma black belt or Master Black Belt highly preferred
- Able to drive change in demanding atmosphere
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Good computer skills (basic Microsoft software packages).
- Working knowledge of SPC tools and techniques.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as a team member.
- Good organizational and writing skills.
