What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - Instrumentation position at Precision Castparts?
Responsibilities
- Assist in the specification, installation, set-up, and calibration of instrumentation and related equipment, systems and processes. These include various Electronic, Thermal, Pneumatic, Vacuum, Hydraulic, Robotic, and Computer.
- Maintain and if necessary, repair existing instrumentation/electronic equipment used in the plant.
- In conjunction with Quality, Process Control, and/or Customer requests, routinely performs calibrations for all plant instrumentation.
- Keep accurate documentation of all repairs and calibrations.
- Maintain and develop necessary skills for the care and proper use of recording, indicating, and control instrumentation used in the plant.
- Assist and instruct others as required in the use and operation of plant instrumentation and related systems and equipment.
- Other Maintenance as may be required.
- Must at least have A.S. Degree in Electronics or equivalent training from a technical school.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of Electronics/Instrumentation experience.
- Must be capable of logically analyzing problems and functioning effectively with a minimum of supervision.
- Must be able to troubleshoot systems with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Must have excellent oral and written skills.
- Must be able to work well with others..
