Heat Treat Operator

Working with minimal assistance, heat treat operators perform intermediate heat treat tasks such as pull and verifying DPS/AMS docs, perform equipment set up including furnace burn out, leak test, OPM, loading required recipe, and perform basic equipment maintenance. Which includes inspecting thermocouples, verifying certs, and producing required graphs for quality, demonstrating intermediate knowledge of materials and heat treat processes.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Correctly access and interpret documentation (H-Specs, etc.)
• Lift up to 45lbs (Repetitive)
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Perform intermediate racking and loading of product (Furnaces)
• Meet area/product specific production standards
• Complete process and operation documentation (Traceability, etc.)
• Perform basic PM tasks (Filters, etc.)
• Review furnace charts (Audit other operator’s charts)
• Operate hoist
• Adjust furnace controller patterns (Per H-Spec)
• Adjust furnace atmosphere controls
• Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  
  

Required Skills

• The ability to read and write English.
• The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals
• The ability to use basic inspection tools such micrometers
• Intermediate knowledge of heat treat process
• The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skills
• The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions
  
  

For informational purposes only the range of pay for this role is $23.00 to $30.00US Dollar (USD)Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only this role is eligible to participate in the Companys Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Companys bonus multiple based on the Companys performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
