We are seeking a skilled and driven Forge Supervisor with hands-on experience in Drop Forge and Screw Press operations to lead our production team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality forging operations while developing a strong and engaged workforce.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily operations across drop forge, screw press, saw, grinding, and inspection areas
- Plan and coordinate production to meet output targets and delivery schedules
- Supervise, coach, and develop a high-performing hourly team
- Monitor production performance and report daily metrics
- Ensure all forging processes meet strict quality and process standards
- Inspect dies, presses, and work-in-process; identify issues and drive corrective actions
- Support and manage tooling, dies, and forging parameters
- Train and onboard new employees in forging operations
- Set work schedules and optimize productivity
- Participate in technical reviews of forging processes and improvements
- Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance at all times
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles
- Support special projects and operational improvements
- Hands-on experience with Drop Forge and/or Screw Press operations is REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of forging processes, die handling, heating, and metal flow
- Experience troubleshooting forging defects and production challenges
- Bachelor’s degree preferred OR High School Diploma 5 years of experience in a forging/manufacturing environment
- Prior supervision experience, preferred
- Proven leadership experience in a forge shop or heavy manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with tooling and process optimization
- Six Sigma knowledge is a plus
- Lead critical drop forge and screw press operations
- Work in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
