The FP&A Intern will support the Division Finance team in delivering accurate financial insights, forecasts, and analysis to enable data-driven decision-making. The FP&A Intern will support the Division Finance team in delivering accurate financial insights, forecasts, and analysis to enable data-driven decision-making. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial analysis focusing on key metrics, variance review, capital process, and reporting within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Support the development of annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts for the division.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering) to gather data for financial analysis.
- Participate in capital expenditure reviews and assist in ROI analysis for major projects.
- Help maintain and improve financial dashboards and reporting tools using Excel and/or BI platforms.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and management decisions.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic modeling); familiarity with ERP systems is a plus (Oracle epm).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in aerospace and manufacturing industries.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
