Essential Functions
Essential Functions
- Condition VAR electrodes and ingots daily
- Ingot / electrode drilling daily
- Ingot / stub saw cutting daily
- Ingot chamfering daily
- Prep ingots and electrodes for next stage of process
- Crucible, base plate and stub cleaning daily
- Inspect fork trucks & cranes daily
- Sort/pack and ship condensate daily
- General plant cleanup daily
- Maintain chamfer booth
- Package chamfer sludge for processing
- Complete drill / chamfer pm's
- Book lab samples into STAR
- Enter surface ratings in STAR
- Maintain drill / chamfer OEE daily
- Clear VAR hot racks
- Transport electrodes to VAR
- Weigh and dispose of "Chamfer rings"
- Complete processing of cut requests
- High school graduate or equivalency is required
- Additional college/technical schooling or equivalent work experience is preferred
- Strong learning aptitude required
- Experience using mobile equipment highly preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Requires detail-oriented individual with good organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
