What are the responsibilities and job description for the Co-op - Preventative Maintenance position at Precision Castparts?
Seeking Co-Ops/Interns
Looking for students enrolled in the following 4-year program (or similar):
Position Overview
Identify equipment without Preventative Maintenance (PM) plan(s). Develop a systematic, one-page, all department, PM completion percentage measure. Systems knowledge will enable this to move faster. Provide a one-page report to the Director of Maintenance & Engineering showing the weekly, cumulative percent completion for each month by department. This person will get exposure to assigning PM tasks to our hourly work force as well. This person will facilitate the improvement of one PM plan per month with involvement of the PM team; which could be as simple as creating a plan on a machine that is lacking a PM plan presently. This improvement will be sent out to Maintenance & Engineering leadership to compare the old versus the newly improved PM. Also, there are key PM samples required to be sent out or taken by contractor on a specific frequency and keeping that schedule 100% on-track will round out the requirement. Note, other tasks may be assigned as they arise, as this is meant to be a guide for the role.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
- Knowledge of related engineering discipline functional and technical skills
- Ability to thrive in an environment where business and team needs may change to help "Make the Day"
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access
- Good writing skills and interpersonal skills
- U.S. Person’s Status is Required (Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and physical
