- Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece.
- Works from prints, sketches, drawing, shop routings, machine tapes, machining procedures, shop practices, engineering and other information.
- Sets up and operates any type of equipment to produce close tolerance parts in accordance with delivery schedules and man hour requirements.
- Begins run on part and completes machining sequences, checking frequently or as required to assure conformity to required tolerances, proper dimensions and other required specifications.
- Operates all equipment in accordance with established operational procedures, safety procedure, shop practice and sequences. Anticipates problems and prevents damage and scrap by taking appropriate precautionary care.
- Read and understand blue prints, micrometers/calipers and other inspection equipment.
- Must be willing/able to flexible shifts, overtime and weekends as business needs require.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Machine shop training in mechanics, shop math, and machine procedures.
- 2-4 years of previous experience setting-up and operating CNC Machining Centers.
- Ability to read and use mechanical measuring devices.
