Job Description

JOB TITLE : Grinding / Finishing

SUMMARY

Cleans, deburrs, polishes, or grinds forged parts by performing the following duties :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Uses hand drill to clean, deburr, polish or grind forged part.
• Uses buffing or grinding wheel to deburr or polish forged part.

QUALIFICATIONS :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY :

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hand(s) and fingers to handle parts;

is required to reach with hands and arms; is occasionally required to stand and / or walk to move parts or containers of parts weighing up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision and color vision.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.

S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
