What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at Precision Biolabs?
Precision Biolabs is an ISO 17025 Certified food safety testing laboratory located in Monroe, WI. We provide services in both Microbiology and Food Quality testing. We offer a great team work environment and competitive wages and benefits.
Work requires flexibility in schedules and occasional scheduled weekends. Standard work week is Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
Responsibilities include sample preparation, good documentation practices, pipetting, streaking plates, performing pathogen assays, transfers, and autoclaving biohazardous material. Applicants must be detail oriented and possess good interpersonal skills. Computer skills are a necessity for success in this position.
Bachelor Degree in Biology, Microbiology or Chemistry preferred. Associate Degrees with a laboratory training program or prior lab experience candidates would also be welcomed. Must demonstrate good sterile/aseptic techniques in the lab and follow SOPs and GLPs as appropriate. Candidate should be highly motivated, detail oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high throughput environment. Ability to lift 40lbs and stand while working.
