Expeditor, Production

The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely movement of parts, materials, and components through the engine build and repair process, keeping production on schedule and customer commitments on track.

• Track and expedite parts and materials needed for engine and module builds, working from the production schedule.
• Identify shortages early and coordinate with Logistics, Production, and outside vendors to resolve them before they hold up the schedule.
• Stage and accumulate components for upcoming builds, ensuring everything needed is on hand before work starts.
• Order standard, pre-approved parts directly against blanket POs or approved vendors when a build is ready to go.
• Use the ERP/inventory system to track part status, location, and disposition, and run reports to stay ahead of material needs. 

Marginal Job Functions:

• Knowledge of general office clerical procedures.
• Strong computer skills, including ERP/inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to regularly exercise sound judgment.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices, and compliance.
• Will participate in safety activities, including immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and accidents/injuries.
• Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance, and equipment operation requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires standing and walking throughout the production floor for extended periods of time. Requires frequent bending, reaching, and mechanical dexterity to move, stage, and inspect parts. Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 25 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated: Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack to move materials, and to use ERP/inventory systems and standard office equipment.

Work Location: Coatesville, PA

Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Strong organizational and planning skills with good judgment under pressure; strong attention to detail and follow-through; clear, direct communication skills with the ability to coordinate across Logistics, Production, and outside vendors; comfortable working in ERP or inventory management systems; mechanical dexterity and general comfort with shop tools and equipment; solid understanding of basic mechanics and the ability to visualize and understand how parts and components fit and work together; strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency; ability to work without supervision; ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment

Education/Training:  High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or aviation-related training preferred; military experience highly desirable

Experience:   At least 2 years of related experience in aviation MRO, logistics, or supply chain, or related field preferred; military experience in logistics, supply chain, or maintenance is highly desirable.
