Responsibilities & Expectations
- Generate CNC programs, setup sheets, and tool lists to support shop floor personnel.
- Assist Programming Team by helping establish, implement, and enforce procedures.
- Point of contact for production technical needs. (Programs and Tooling).
- Create standard work instructions to assist with the setup of new programs and existing programs.
- Choose appropriate tooling for machining operations with correct cutting parameters.
- Trouble shoot CNC programs and implement process improvements.
- Work with engineering to overcome any issues with process or fixtures.
- Provide support and resolve technical problems as the arise.
- Edit and convert existing programs for different machines and work centers.
- Develop and integrate programming techniques that will enhance process productivity and enable increased quality.
- Implement and recommend continuous improvement efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
- Candidates must have at least six (6) years of relevant experience in aerospace or general manufacturing.
- Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, CAD modeling, Cam programming & general machining practices.
- Minimum 6 years programming experience on 3, 4 and 5-Axis CNC Mills
- The candidate must have experience using Mastercam. (Or demonstrate crossover potential)
- Ability to interpret manufacturing work instructions and M.O.T. sketches.
- Must have thorough understanding of CNC machine function and G-Code language including machine probing.
- Must have knowledge of Cutting tools and Standard Machining practices.
- Must be able read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Must have strong knowledge in various PC applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
- Candidates must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

- Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds
- Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting, bending and repetitive motion
- The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.
