About the Position
Precision Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to support our aerospace and manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and controlled documentation, technical data, drawings, and records while ensuring documents are properly reviewed, distributed, updated, and maintained.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working with both paper and electronic records, and understands the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and document security in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support document control procedures in accordance with AS9100 requirements, DPD requirements, and Precision Aerospace Corporation procedures.
- Receive, review, organize, distribute, and maintain controlled documents, technical data, drawings, and records.
- Maintain accurate document revisions, statuses, and version control.
- Release updated and revised documents to authorized departments and personnel.
- Ensure obsolete or superseded documents are properly controlled and removed from active use.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
- Scan, upload, and archive documents as required.
- Help ensure controlled and sensitive information is securely stored and distributed only to authorized personnel.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, IT, Production, and other departments regarding document control requirements.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation and records when requested.
- Maintain accurate document logs and tracking systems.
- Identify document discrepancies or missing information and communicate issues to the appropriate department.
- Perform other administrative and document-control duties as assigned.
