Associate Attorney
Trucking & Transportation Defense and insurance defense litigation - Buffalo, NY
This is a full-time, on-site Associate Attorney position based in Buffalo, New York. The Associate will support all aspects of litigation, including conducting legal research, preparing case materials, drafting pleadings and other legal documents, and participating in client communications and meetings. The role also involves assisting with litigation strategy, participating in negotiations and mediations when appropriate, and providing legal guidance aligned with the firm’s practice areas. The position requires strong professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively manage multiple active matters.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in legal research, drafting, and case analysis, particularly in transportation law and insurance defense litigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and effective legal documents and conduct client consultations
- Experience with litigation processes, including depositions, motion practice, mediation, negotiation, and court appearances
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and independently
- Admission to the New York State Bar is required
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented, professional legal environment
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
