Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. This role involves operating box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivery, route driving, and vehicle operation, with a focus on providing excellent customer service. As an Owner Operator Driver, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles for local or regional deliveries
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques
- Manage delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns professionally
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including moving goods within storage areas
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure safe transportation at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and warehouse operations
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is a plus
- Customer service skills with the ability to handle interactions professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Prior experience with warehouse logistics or transportation operations is desirable
