Overview - Wood Moulding Knife Grinder Join our dynamic manufacturing team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring precision and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and skilled craftsmanship, contributing to high-quality millwork products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for grinding and sharpening custom profile knives, used in the production of wood moulding and millwork products. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to read profile drawings and templates to produce accurate cutting profiles. Prior experience in manufacturing or machining environments, particularly with woodworking or millwork products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grind and sharpen profile knives for custom wood moulding production.

• Read and interpret profile drawings, templates, and specifications.

• Set up, tooling, moulder heads, and operate profile grinding machinery safely and efficiently.

• Inspect finished knives for accuracy, quality, and proper dimensions.

• Maintain grinding equipment and work area in clean, safe condition.

• Work closely with production and tooling departments to meet job requirements and deadlines.

• Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

• Work independently as well as with others.

Qualifications

• Experience operating profile grinding or knife grinding machines preferred.

• Knowledge of custom wood moulding and millwork processes.

• Ability to read measuring tools, blueprints, and profile drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
