Job description:Local Company in Schaumberg IL looking to hire immediately!!REQUIREMENTS:A Picker/Packer/Shipper is responsible for the accurate and timely fulfillment of picking/pulling product from the warehouse shelves, sorting items and making sure all products on the order request are ready to be packed. Picker/Packers are also responsible to insure all products on the order request are free from damage, verified, counted and packaged for order shipmentDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Verify the quantity and product being picked and packed is accurateUse RF Handheld Barcode Scanner to process product while picking and packagingSort, Consolidate and drop off products to assigned packing stations for packagingPack product to maximize box space to reduce shipping costs while maintaining packaging integrityMark and label finished packages correctly to insure customer orders are free of potential shipping errorInsure Quality Control Standards and Practices are occurring (recording errors, inspect parts for damage, correct shortages, wrong parts and using QC Forms)Meet and exceed daily productivity and quality standardsRecord daily productivity on Progress Control Boards per Lean PhilosophyOperates an order picker, standup reach truck and fork truck to pick product from various storage rackingResponsible to help maintain cleanliness and 5S standards at Packing StationsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as part of the job function while using safe lifting requirementsMust be willing to be cross-trained in other areas in the warehouse as neededAble to stand for extended periods of time, lifting multiple pounds regularlyMust perform within the Company Safety Program and Police.EXPERIENCE:Previous experience with a Barcode Scanning System/handheld preferredPrevious warehouse experience preferredKNOWLEDGE:Must be a self-starter, motivated and focused to work independently within the established perimeters assigned.Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectivelySome Computer Skills neededMust be able to work with others and as a TeamAttention to detail and organizational skills neededPlease send resume.Company DescriptionWe are a staffing agency dedicated to connecting top talent with leading companies in various industries.
