The Marketing Business Development Department seeks a teammate to provide data administration and support for all facets of business development. Position Overview
The Business Development Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Business Development and will provide support for a broad array of research, writing, appointment and event coordination, CRM system coordination, and data entry. This position will assist the BD team will all aspects of client engagement, campaigns, events, and tasks for supporting the department’s evolving needs. This is an entry-level position with opportunity for career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Use the Unanet Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to input, curate, research, maintain, and proof customer lead data, identify trends, and gain insights to support business development. Perform data entry, coordination, and user training. Apply attention to detail and consistency to manage the CRM platform, ensure data integrity, and work closely with IT and system administrators to keep all aspects of data continuously updated and complete. Attend and provide CRM training to colleagues as needed.
- Support client-oriented activities by managing bookings, invitations, meeting preparation, team coordination, attendance, and follow-up.
- Track opportunity notifications and work with BD and marketing team to support new client development and market growth/penetration.
- Coordinate and execute methods and activities to identify, track, and manage information to understand client needs, problems, opportunities, and ways to increase outreach and interaction with clients.
- Oversee and manage the BD events calendar with deadlines, calls for abstracts, trade shows, and other key events; communicate to key staff members to meet and attend events strategically, coordinating all the efforts, deadlines, and deliverables with marketing support as needed. Attend industry events as needed.
- Assist Director with projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree in communications, business, management, marketing, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a marketing, sales, or BD role, exposure to CRM a plus.
- Attention to detail, strong organization and time management, and ability to track and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Computer skills including Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact email marketing, social media analytics, and Google Analytics a plus.
- Detail and deadline-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable speaking publicly or presenting to large or small groups.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed locally and overnight to other states at least once per month or as needed.
