Full job description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histotechnician to join our laboratory team full time, Tuesday through Saturday.
In this role, you will prepare high-quality histological slides for microscopic evaluation by our pathologists.
Duties will include:
- Processing, embedding, cutting and staining of Hematopathology Specimens
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Perform quality control checks and document maintenance logs accurately to meet regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA).
- Handle hazardous chemicals safely and manage laboratory waste disposal procedures.
- Assisting in daily case in-take as scheduled by Manager ● Inventory up-keep
Required:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
- Certification: HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification preferred (or eligible).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience in a clinical or research histology laboratory.
- Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination, ability to work independently, and basic computer proficiency for lab tracking systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
