What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plating Line Operator position at Precious Plate, Inc?
The Opportunity
Precious Plate is hiring a Line Operator to join our team. As a Line Operator, you will perform a variety of activities required to manufacture products, including the reel-to-reel operating of our electroplating manufacturing lines. This is a full-time position, working from 7am - 7pm OR 7pm – 7am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, reporting to the Production Foreman.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Use of the reel-to-reel electroplating manufacturing lines and/or equipment to convert raw materials into plated product
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to maintain product quality
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot process issues and report findings to appropriate team members
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 12-months prior manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work safely, efficiently, and reliably in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality standards
- Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions
- Math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to work independently and perform cooperatively with others
- Ability to operate hoists and other motorized equipment to move material
- Ability to hear, see, occasionally bend, stoop and kneel, stand for 8 to 12 hours per day, and push, pull or lift up to 50lbs as needed to perform essential job functions
Working Conditions
- Regularly works with chemical solutions
- Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature
- Safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots, and hearing protection required
- Other PPE may be required depending on responsibilities
- Could be exposed to background noise, odors, or dust
