What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Precious People Daycare?
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for preschool students
- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate math, language, and social skills development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being and development of each child
- Implement early intervention strategies for students with special needs or learning difficulties
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and cooperation
Skills:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of child welfare and early childhood education principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate curriculum
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and materials effectively
