Position: Two-Year-Old Toddler Teacher
Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Employment Status: Full-Time
Pay: Based on education, credentials, childcare experience, and qualifications
Position Overview: Precious Moments Childcare Center is seeking a dependable, reliable, energetic, loving and motivated Two-Year-Old Toddler Teacher. We are looking for a teacher who understands that this classroom requires patience, structure, consistency, creativity, and lots of energy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively engage two-year-old children throughout the day, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional security
- Follow the daily classroom schedule
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, physical and creative development
- Observe and document children's development, progress and individual needs
- Assist children with meals, snacks, handwashing, diapering and other personal-care routines
- Maintain accurate classroom records, including attendance, daily reports, incident reports, medication documents and developmental observations as required
- Keep toys, classroom, equipment and learning materials clean, safe and organized
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding children's daily experiences, routines, accomplishments and concerns
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, professional development and required credentialing activities
- Support a positive, inclusive classroom community that respects each child's individual background, abilities, temperament and developmental pace
- Collaborate with classrooms staff and center leaderships to ensure consistency in care, communication and curriculum
Pay: From $8.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Childcare Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Required)
