Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote infant development in areas such as motor skills, language, social-emotional growth, and sensory exploration
- Provide attentive caregiving that ensures infants’ safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the day
- Follow established health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and first aid procedures, to respond effectively to emergencies
- Maintain detailed records of each infant’s progress, routines, and individual needs in compliance with mandated reporting laws
- Collaborate with families to communicate daily updates on infants’ milestones, behaviors, and care routines
- Manage classroom environments to foster positive behavior management and support developmental milestones
- Adhere to all licensing requirements and best practices related to early childhood education, childcare standards, and special education needs when applicable
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective child development instruction techniques
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques for young children
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to early childhood education excellence
