What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Safety Director position at Precast Services, Inc.?
We are looking for a Corporate Safety Director to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will plan and develop safety plans for different construction jobsites. In addition, you will plan and coordinate training for our personnel. An excellent candidate will be well versed in OSHA 1926 and typical construction methodologies and procedures. They must be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The goal will be to help our Company achieve zero accidents and lead the industry in safe work environments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Controlling Contractors to determine the specifications of the project and identify hazards and solutions
- Monitor incidents and assist with insurance claims
- Research and develop training to assist our personnel in achieving a zero-accident environment
- Acquire equipment and material to assist in safety preparedness
- Hire outside safety consultants or employees to monitor specific projects when required and coordinate responsibilities
- Investigate accidents and determine root cause and preventative measures
- Develop Toolbox Talks to train personnel on accident prevention
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Skills
- Proven experience as safety professional
- In-depth understanding of construction quality and health and safety standards
- First Aid/CPR Training
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- Experience with Precast Concrete Production and/or Installation a plus
- Experience with Structural Steel Fabrication and/or Installation a plus
- Prior Military or First Responder a Plus

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
