Precast of Maine is looking to hire a safety-focused and experienced Fabricator. The selected candidate will operate fabricating machines to produce the necessary sized and shaped steel rebar pieces to be used in forms for precast concrete products. These products will be used in utility and infrastructure construction. The primary responsibilities will be to operate fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines and punches.
We are willing to train the right candidate who is new to precast manufacturing but demonstrates an interest in the process, an eagerness to learn, is dependable, and who is motivated to work as part of the Precast team. The budget base pay for this position ranges from $20.00 to $27.00 and will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description.
Requirements for all candidates:
- Must have previous fabricating and welding experience. Experience in the precast concrete industry is preferred.
- Must be able to read CAD drawings to understand rebar needs.
- Must have a strong work ethic and be eager to learn.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work the required hours (6am -5pm)
- Positive "get it done and done right attitude."
