Precast of Maine is looking for a dependable, hands-on Shop Lead to work alongside our production crew for general laboring duties associated with pouring concrete into prefabricated forms. This position plays an active role in daily production, helping coordinate workflow, maintain quality standards, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to, preparing molds for concrete to be poured, overseeing concrete pours, releasing concrete products from molds, cleaning molds and workstations for future product pours, reading and understanding dimensioned scaled drawings, steel fabrication, mold making, and cooperating with other production areas.
The budget base pay for this position ranges from $25.00 to $31.00 and will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description.
Requirements for all candidates:
- Previous experience in precast concrete production required.
- Previous leadership or crew lead experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow production plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction tools, shop equipment, and safe operating practices.
- Experience with forklifts, quality assurance and quality control is beneficial.
- Willingness to work hands-on alongside production crew.
- Ability to work the required hours (6am - 5pm)
- Positive "get it done and done right" attitude.
