What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Bus Aide position at Preble County Educational Service Center?
Title: Preschool Bus Aide (154 Day Position)
Position Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Transpotaton Supervisor, to assist in maintaining an orderly and safe atmosphere on the bus by overseeing and managing the sudent section of the bus.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure the safety of the students
- Maintain student section or backend of bus to allow driver to focus on driving the bus. Ensure all bus rules are enforced.
- Record daily attendance on bus attendance sheets for AM/Midday/PM routes.
- Know and understand all daily routes just as well as driver in orrder to guide substitute drivers on routes.
- Assist in completion of necessary documentation and paperwork for bus.
- Work with driver in team decision making.
- Other duties assigned by Transportation Supervisor

Qualifications Include But Not Limited To:
- High School Diploma
- Ohio Education Aide Certification
- Motor Vehicle Operator's (DMV) License or ability to provide own transportation.
