Intervention Specialist for Middle/High School ED Classroom
Position Description
-Manage classroom and implements appropriate programs
-Develop and implements IEPs
-Conduct and participate in team meetings
-Supervise classroom assistants
Essential Functions
-Ensure safety of students
-Develop schedules and lesson plans for classroom appropriate to student's IEPs
-Develop and implement behavior management plans
-Communicate with classroom assistants necessary information for student program implementation
-Maintain a classroom that is conducive to learning
-Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents
-Demonstrate a positive work ethic
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
-Appropriate State of Ohio teaching license (Intervention Specialist)
-Experience and/or training which evidences the ability to instruct students with severe behavioral challenges
