What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Pre-Tech Precision Machining?
QC Inspector familiar with quality management systems (i.e. ISO 9001/AS9100) to conduct mechanical inspection of parts and have a thorough understanding of blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and are skilled using standard measurement tools.
Job Responsibilities:
Quality
- Performs duties of Mechanical Quality Inspector as required. - CMM Experience Desirable. - Mechanical Inspection hand tools. - Performs receiving, first piece, in-process, and final inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as: micrometers, verniers and calipers. - Verifies and maintains Device History Records. - Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. - Works independently with limited supervision. - Shop math, mechanical inspection instruments, and blueprints. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to express concepts effectively.
On-Time Delivery
Timely inspection
Takes direction from the Site QC Manager to prioritize hot jobs and first offs
OTHER DUTIES:
Maintains and updates inspection documentation
Supports Continuous improvement
Performs other related duties as directed
Required Skills for Mechanical Quality Inspector Job:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Prior Mechanical quality inspector Desired - Shop math - Mechanical inspection instruments - GD&T and blueprints. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to express concepts effectively. - First piece - In process and final inspection. - CMM experience
- First Article and AS9102
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
