Job Summary
A CNC Mill Setup is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture aerospace components while adhering to safety, quality, productivity standards
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC milling machines (3-, 4-, and / or 5-axis) according to work instructions, blueprints, and / or engineering setup sheets
- Utilize GD&T to interpret blueprints
- Install and align fixtures and cutting tools that adhere to the established processes
- Troubleshoot setup issues, tool wear, and machining errors to ensure part conformity
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machining processes and cycle times
- Maintani detailed setup documentation and production records in compliance with AS9100
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment utilizing 5S practices
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report any equipment malfunctions
- Participate in both formal and informal continuous improvement events / ideas
- Perform other related duties as directed
Experience
- 3 years of CNC milling setup experience, preferably in aerospace or high-precision industries
- Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and machining principles
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to various objectives and execute in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge in GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Experience with tight-tolerance machining
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to support / train others when required
Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
