Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Position Summary:

The HR Assistant supports the HR Manager with daily human resources operations, including maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding, helping with benefits administration, and preparing HR documents. This role ensures HR processes run smoothly and provides dependable support to both employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the HR Manager.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal data, attendance, and performance documentation.
  • Coordinate all aspects of new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, updates, and employee inquiries.
  • Prepare and organize HR-related reports, documents, and correspondence.
  • Support workers’ compensation processes and documentation requirements.
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous HR experience or an HR-focused internship preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) preferred.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a fast-paced, employee-facing setting within a construction and manufacturing environment. The HR Assistant will regularly interact with employees at all levels, support day-to-day workforce needs, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
