What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Pre and Post Op Care?
The Post-Operative Caregiver is responsible for providing compassionate, non-medical supportive care to clients recovering from cosmetic and elective surgical procedures. The caregiver ensures client safety, comfort, hygiene, and adherence to post-operative instructions while maintaining a luxury, clean, and professional recovery environment.
- Assist clients with mobility, including walking and repositioning (following surgeon guidelines)
- Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Monitor clients for signs of discomfort, swelling, or complications and report concerns immediately
- Assist with medication reminders (non-administration unless certified and authorized)
- Support clients with proper use of BBL pillows, compression garments, and recovery equipment
- Prepare and serve post-op approved meals
- Encourage hydration and light mobility per recovery plan
- Monitor dietary restrictions as instructed
- Maintain clean, sanitized client rooms and common areas
- Change linens and assist with laundry
- Ensure infection-control protocols are followed at all times
- Restock supplies and maintain organized workspace
- Document daily client observations and care provided
- Communicate effectively with management, nurses, or surgeons if concerns arise
- Maintain client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)

Pay: $14.00 - $26.47 per hour
