Technical Tester

Position Summary: The Technical Tester is responsible for testing new software and hardware, identifying and communicating any problems, and verifying that the issues are resolved before being released to production. This includes the timely management and/or development support for test fixturing, test procedures, compliance efforts, and quality requirements within the product development cycle. This position is responsible for expediting any quality, component, software, or process issues that will potentially disrupt the manufacture/delivery of product or that will diminish customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for testing products and features developed in-house and by third party vendors. 
• Identifies bugs, deviations from the product definition, and confusing user interface features.
• Records bugs and concerns with a detailed description to help track down the source of the bug and give detailed instructions for duplicating the bug.
• Interacts with other individuals to give them operational and technical support, identifies and document bugs, identifies user interface problems or other issues that could cause potential problems and confusion with customers.
• Provides operational and technical support to field staff. Documents issues that field staff have with products for consideration in future product enhancements.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education / Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree in electronics or related field is preferred. Individuals with an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• Two years of experience with PRC-Saltillo assistive devices is desired.

Skills / Abilities:

• Must be able to work well independently as well as work with others.
• Understanding of the architecture of the product being tested is required.
• Good oral and written correspondence skills is essential.
• Must be well organized and able to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to type accurately is required.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills is essential.
• Must be able to manage workload and optimize skills.
