What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist position at PRC Industries?
Inventory Control Specialist – ERP / Systems (Bilingual Preferred)
PRC Industries – Las Vegas, NV
$19–$21/hour, DOE | Full-time | On-site
About Us
PRC Industries is a remanufacturing and reverse logistics company. We receive, inspect, repair, and resell consumer returns (vacuums, kitchen appliances, outdoor power equipment, and more) for one of the largest e-commerce retailers in the world. Our Las Vegas facility is growing, and accurate inventory is at the center of everything we do.
The Role
We’re looking for a detail-driven Inventory Control Specialist who is comfortable working in systems every day. Your main job will be keeping our inventory records accurate: understanding how product flows into and through the building, finding and resolving discrepancies, and keeping our inventory reporting to our retail partner correct and on time. You’ll also be a go-to problem solver for our ERP (Odoo), our new internal operations tool (PRCision), and the systems that replace them as we grow.
Primary Responsibilities: Inventory Control (approximately 70%)
- Learn and master how inventory is received, tracked, and moved through the building, including item state/status codes and our internal inventory processes
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies (overages, shortages, misplaced or mislabeled units, status mismatches) and make accurate adjustments in Odoo
- Prepare, validate, and upload the inventory snapshot to our retail partner on schedule
- Support cycle counts and wall-to-wall counts, then reconcile results against system records
- Track aging inventory and flag units stuck in the process
- Work with supervisors, receiving, production, and shipping teams to fix the root causes of discrepancies, not just the numbers
- Keep clear records of adjustments and the reason for each one
Secondary Responsibilities: Systems Support and Problem Solving (approximately 30%)
- Act as a floor-level resource for Odoo and PRCision, helping associates and leads with transactions, lookups, and troubleshooting
- Diagnose software and process problems: figure out whether an issue is user error, a process gap, or a system bug, and work it to resolution
- Query databases to research inventory issues, pull data, and validate system records
- Help test and roll out new system features and workflows, and give feedback on what works on the floor
- Help train associates on correct system use
- Escalate system issues to our development team with clear, reproducible detail
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role
- Experience working inside an ERP or WMS (Odoo strongly preferred; SAP, NetSuite, Manhattan, or similar also welcome)
- Working knowledge of SQL or experience querying a database
- Strong problem-solving skills with software: you like figuring out why something isn’t working and tracing it back to the cause
- Comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets (filters, lookups, pivot tables a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and the persistence to track down where a unit went
- Able to pick up new systems and processes quickly
- Clear communicator who can work with both floor associates and leadership
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Nice to Have
- Reverse logistics, returns processing, or e-commerce fulfillment experience
- Experience with retailer or vendor inventory reporting and reconciliation
- Barcode/LPN-based inventory tracking experience
- Basic computer and hardware troubleshooting skills (PCs, printers, scanners, network connectivity)
