The General Manager is responsible for leading and supervising all front-line team members and other duties typical of an office manager. Key areas of responsibilities include maintaining relationships with flight instructors, students, and contractors; on time performance of priority projects; collaboration with maintenance personnel; and leadership of special projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety standards at all times.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, state, local, and other regulations.
- Enforcing adherence to requirements.
- Oversight of flight instructors and student pilots.
- Coordinate office staff duties.
- Work closely with maintenance manager on aircraft downtime and uptime.
- Collaborate with accounting department on accurate journal entries.
- Maintain historical records by timely filing of the proper documents.
- Review monthly financial reports with executive team.
- Motivates team activities using effective management skills.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation required; master's degree preferred. Relevant experience in the aviation field may be considered in lieu of college degree.
- Successful management experience of a team is required. Candidate will show a proven history of leading meetings, managing staff, and achieving or exceeding company goals.
- Leadership experience in a company is required; strong direction executing company's vision while motivating a diverse team to efficient and high functioning performance. Leadership by example is a must.

This position is a full-time office position. Office hours are Monday through Friday 0830 - 1700. Manager may have on-call requirements. Salary is commensurate with experience.
