What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Accounting Expert (N) position at Praxis?
We are looking for a Senior Technical Accounting Expert to support our Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support accounting and internal control activities for share-based compensation, bonuses, FX, intercompany, leases, derivatives, and other centralized processes.
- Perform technical accounting research and prepare documentation for complex transactions and new accounting standards.
- Partner with regional, revenue, and shared services teams to resolve complex accounting matters.
- Support valuation efforts for goodwill impairment, M&A, share-based awards, and derivatives.
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting packages, including financial statements, disclosures, MD&A, and EBITDA reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA required.
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred)
- Solid GAAP knowledge and strong technical accounting research skills, suited for a complex global environment.
- Proficiency with relevant software applications; experience with Oracle and OneStream is a plus.
- Experience with Internal Controls and Governance Knowledge (SOX-related)
- Availability to work in a hybrid model (Mon–Fri remote; in-office Tue/Wed/Thu)
- Must be based in Houston, Texas

Pay: $15,000.00 - $18,000.00 per month
