We are seeking a seasoned Senior Fund Accountant to join our growing Pravati Capital team and lead full-cycle financial operations for our high-growth litigation finance and private equity investment platform. This role will manage fund accounting for closed-end vehicles, oversee capital calls and complex distributions, manage credit facilities, and support acquisitions structured through MSO (Management Services Organization) and ABS (Alternative Business Structure) vehicles. The ideal candidate brings deep technical fund accounting expertise, hands-on private credit or private equity experience, and the ability to build and scale financial systems and processes to support the firm's continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle fund accounting for closed-end investment vehicles, including capital calls, capital contributions, and complex distribution waterfalls
- Calculate and process partner/investor capital calls, distributions, and allocations in accordance with fund partnership agreements
- Prepare and review complex partnership allocations and waterfall calculations across multiple fund structures
- Manage and monitor credit facilities, including covenant compliance, borrowing base calculations, and lender reporting
- Support acquisitions and the structuring of new investment vehicles, including MSO (Management Services Organization) and ABS (Alternative Business Structure) structures
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable financial systems, processes, and internal controls to support a high-growth platform
- Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements, investor reporting packages, and NAV calculations
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, fund administrators, and legal counsel on fund-level reporting and compliance matters
- Partner with senior leadership on financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, and strategic decision-making
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
- Complete ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 10 years of progressive fund accounting, private credit, or private equity accounting experience
- Deep knowledge of partnership allocations, waterfall structures, and closed-end fund mechanics
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and fund-level financial reporting
- Experience with credit facilities, borrowing base reporting, and lender compliance
- Familiarity with MSO and ABS transaction structures strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience implementing or scaling accounting systems and processes in a high-growth environment
- CPA and/or CFA designation a plus
- Prior experience in litigation finance or alternative investments a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
