What You Will Do:
The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Special Processes Operator – Plating/Plasma for the 1st shift operations (Mon-Fri, 6:30AM to 3:00PM). This site currently employs 250 employees in total.
Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

- Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine requirements.
- Prepare parts for coating operations.
- Set up and operate grit blaster.
- Set up and operate nickel plating and/or plasma equipment.
- Nickel plate / plasma coat to specifications outlined in work instructions.
- Inspect parts to verify conformance with specifications.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Maintain clean work environment
- Technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills is essential to this role.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Training is provided on-site.
- Requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Prior experience within the aerospace industry.
- Prior experience with specialized coating application or plating.
- Fanuc robotic controls experience.
