As a member of the team, you will be a key member of a dynamic team responsible for delivering aerospace components and assemblies to our military and commercial customers around the globe.
Travel Amount: Less than 5% Travel
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete transformation from ACE to CORE at NBRO
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and connecting all employees with experiences to make our business better.
- Work closely with individuals and teams throughout the Product Center to lead problem solving and continuous improvement projects.
- Align with NBAS Core manager on strategic initiatives to ensure site synergy is maintained
- Oversee competency development (including CORE proficiency advancement), serve as Implementation Lead for OpX initiatives, and support the Product Center in driving continuous improvement projects aligned with enterprise priorities developed through the OpX and Operations Leadership teams.
- Responsible for driving Standard Production System (SPS), a comprehensive lean operating system, harmonizing the tools and tactics of CORE (ACE) into standardized shop floor management system
- Manage/execute on occasional Green Belt or Black Belt projects
- Aligned with HQ standard organization, standard regimen, and standard metrics
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Operations, Supply Chain or similar field and minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Advanced to expert level understanding of CORE, ACE or similar business operating system
- US Citizenship due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) Practitioner Certification
- CORE Champion certification
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work with, coach, motivate, and influence others.
- Ability to work independently, while delivering on executive leadership expectations.
- Experience using project management and statistical analysis tools.
- 5 years of experience leading large scale continuous improvement initiatives across functions.
- Proven project management experience or certification.
- Proficiency in use of project management and statistical analysis tools.
- Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
