Job Summary:

This position requires outstanding decision making and problem-solving skills with minimal direction. Under the direction of the Site EH&S Manager, the EH&S Technician will work to support safety programs including, but not limited to, contractor safety, confined spaces, Job Hazard Assessment program, electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), fall protection, machine guarding, powered industrial vehicles, robotics, training and others as assigned by management.

Schedule: Saturday-Monday 12:00pm - 12:00am (3x12 shift)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, administer, evaluate, and coordinate company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Develop and advise on employee workplace programs related to safety.
  • Develop safety-focused activities and policies.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve and maintain consistency of health safety program implementation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections for compliance with EH&S programs.
  • Serve as EH&S representative for assigned building/area and site EH&S council as needed.
  • Conduct injury investigations and root cause analysis, develop corrective actions, and track to completion.
  • Provide instructor led training on various safety topics.
  • Work with and coordinate various support organizations to ensure assigned area's compliance with all company environmental, health and safety rules and procedures; that each employee receives the training and instruction necessary to perform their job safely and department equipment is properly maintained.
  • Ability to work in a team-environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English is needed, as well as proficient computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be willing to take initiative to identify solutions to problems that are not always well-defined.
  • Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. independently.
  • Must be able to work from heights 6 feet or more.
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be physically capable of bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing on feet for long period of time – up to 12 hrs., and climbing stairs.

Basic Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety or related work.
  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-year degree in related field.
  • One year of EHS experience preferred.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is $20.00 - $28.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
