What You Will Do:
Are you a mechanic with a passion for aviation? Do you enjoy company paid travel and opportunities to see other parts of the country? Take off on an exciting new career adventure! This position will work on our 2nd shift, which is Sunday-Wednesday from 3:30pm-1:30am. Training will be conducted on 1st shift for up to 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- As the A&P Technician, you will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing and removing equipment
- You will conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications
- You will manage technical products, services logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers
- You will also troubleshoot technical problems and issues, recommending actions to company or customer representatives while assessing product needs in accordance with customer specifications
- Up to 25% Travel
Pratt & Whitney in Burlington, VT is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
What You Will Learn:
- How to serve as local on-site RTX representative to the customer's organization, managing statements of work to meet customer and contract requirements
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 6 years of experience working as an A&P Technician
- Active A&P License
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management
- Heavy hangar/FBO/field experience - rigging, R&I, MRP's, aircraft interface
- Shop/Bench refurbishment experience
- Experience with the inspection of engine parts refurbishment, troubleshooting, repairs and return to service of engines, modules and components
- Airframe experience with Pratt & Whitney Canada (PWC)-powered aircraft
- Previous customer service experience
This role is:
- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
