Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our educational team at Pratt High School. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics and foster critical thinking skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing high-quality instruction and support to students, ensuring they achieve their academic goals and are prepared for future challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and state standards.
  • Teach a variety of math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, to students in grades 9-12.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and faculty regarding student performance and progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that promote student engagement.
  • Support students in developing problem-solving skills and a growth mindset towards learning mathematics.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and ability to teach various math subjects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching and assessment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive school culture and promoting student success.
  • Previous teaching experience in a high school setting is preferred but not required.
