Job Title: WATER RECLAMATION ENGINEER

Reports To: WATER RECLAMATION MANAGER
FLSA Status: SALARY EXEMPT
SUMMARY-Pratt Paper (OH), LLC has a need for a Water Reclamation Engineer at our Wapakoneta, OH location. Pratt Industries operates some of the most modern and efficient recycled paper mills in America. In fact, six of the last eight paper mills in the U.S. were built by Pratt. Using the paper recovered by our Recycling Division, all of our paper mills produce 100% recycled containerboard. These mills support our network of box-making facilities throughout the country. As a paper mill employee, you will be a part of a team that turns recovered materials into new paper fueling our integrated supply chain.
SCOPE-The Water Reclamation Engineer will work independently and as part of the production team to support production efforts of the paper mill. The Water Reclamation Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the management of all process wastewater systems.

Competitive Salary: Base salary of $53,0000 ($25.48/hr) plus Incentive
Overtime Eligibility: Overtime pay after 40 hours worked per week.
Lucrative Incentive Plan: Earn up to 100% of one month's base salary every quarter through our mill incentive program!

Schedule – Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm with some on call OT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)-The Water Reclamation Engineer’s primary responsibilities but are not limited to:
Become familiar with all equipment and processes necessary to successfully pretreat process waste water from the mill.
Understand the installation and operation of all systems associated with the waste water pretreatment facility.
Participate in the commissioning of the waste water pretreatment systems
Participating in supplier negotiations for biomass, chemicals and services that will be required to support the successful operation of the waste water pretreatment facility.
Maintaining safety standards in and around the Waste Water Facility
Maintaining chemical inventories
Maintaining chemical delivery systems
Determining, reporting and optimizing costs
Performing process control laboratory analyses
Collecting and tracking compliance samples and equipment
Maintaining process control and permit compliance data
Interface with E&I and maintenance departments to insure proper corrective and preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment
Monitoring, maintaining and reporting Air and Water Permitting
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE-The educational requirements are a four (4) year Bachelor of Science in one of the following disciplines: Pulp and Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Environmental Science or a related field. Paper Mill experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS-The candidate must speak and write English at a college level.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS-The candidate must be able to understand and use simple conversions and algebraic formulas.
REASONING ABILITY- The candidate must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and biological systems.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS- Employee will be measured on the performance goals established by the Water Reclamation Manager and Mill Manager.
