What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM Yard Spotter position at Pratt Industries?
On Site Position..… Responsible for safe and efficient movement of trailers to and from dock doors. Communicate all movements to Shipping lead.
- Must be able to safely and effectively operate a hydraulic fifth wheel and TADC with 53’ dry van.
- Responsible for safe movement of trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading.
- Physical ability to repeatedly climb in and out of tractor to hook and unhook trailers.
- Ensure trailers are clean and free of debris before putting to dock.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Adhere to all State, local, and Federal laws.
- Ensure load is secured before dropping trailer.
- Communicate all issues related to the yard operations to Manager on duty
- Ensure that all appropriate asset repairs are noted and corrected prior to preloading assets
- Perform a daily shift communication transition prior to the start of the shift
