The candidate will be assigned a continuous improvement project with a focus on waste improvement, throughput improvement and manufacturing reliability through data collection and statistical analysis.
Qualifications
Must have an interest in packaging design and basic knowledge of corrugated packaging.
Language Skills
Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Communications Skills
Must be able to communicate and build interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and read a tape measure, and convert fractions to decimals.
Computer Skills
Must be able to perform basic computer functions, such as data entry, operations of mouse and keyboard. Working knowledge of Microsoft office products such as but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Demonstrate technical and business expertise for our packaging systems offering strategic direction for existing and new packaging solutions and technologies
- Identify and lead initiatives for continuous improvement and cost savings through packaging
- Possess good project management skills driving commercialization and other opportunities against business strategies
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills with the mindset of continuous improvement techniques (such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.), showing thorough understanding of the interactions between process operations, ingredients, methods, environment and people to provide robust operating systems
- Self-starter and proactive in challenging technical assumptions and current business practices
- Conduct capacity studies, enhance system reliability and identify/implement productivity improvements including new technologies
