Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician ensures the ongoing repair and professional upkeep of our facility and grounds. This role requires a "jack-of-all-trades" skill set, covering HVAC, plumbing, drywall, and general machinery maintenance. You will be responsible for balancing a daily preventative maintenance schedule with urgent repair requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance: Comply with all company polices and procedures.
- Preventative Maintenance: Clean, grease, and oil machines; perform regular inspections of building systems; and complete all required paperwork accurately.
- General Repairs: Execute painting, drywall installation, concrete patching, and minor plumbing/HVAC tasks.
- Grounds & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, professional appearance for all interior and exterior areas; replace lightbulbs and manage waste removal.
- Technical Operations: Operate power tools, cleaning equipment, and specialized machinery (ladders, boom lifts, scissor lifts). Read and interpret machine schematics.
- Safety & Compliance: Practice safe work habits at all times, including LOTO and PPE compliance. Notify management of major repair needs or equipment requisitions.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
- Education: High school diploma/GED required; technical school certification preferred.
- Experience: 1 years of manufacturing or construction experience preferred.
- Technical: Proficiency with hand/power tools and the ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Aptitude: Strong basic math skills (volume, rate, percentages) and the ability to troubleshoot using common sense and technical manuals.
- Certifications: Ability to obtain/maintain a Lift Truck Operator License.
- Lifting: Must regularly lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Mobility: Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and crawling in a loud, industrial environment.
- Vision: Close, distance, and peripheral vision required, including depth perception.
