What You Will Do: The Retail Sales & Design Consultant is responsible for delivering an elevated luxury retail experience while cultivating long-term client relationships. This role serves as a Brand Ambassador, guiding clients through the selection of fine linens, luxury textiles, and home furnishings, while providing personalized recommendations tailored to their lifestyle and design preferences. Daily responsibilities include driving sales through consultative selling, building client relationships, presenting product features and benefits, and supporting clients with design advice that reflects Pratesi’s aesthetic and standards.
The role also involves maintaining visual merchandising, monitoring inventory on the sales floor and processing transactions. Collaboration with the broader team to meet store goals, participate in product training, and uphold brand presentation and service standards is expected.
What We Are Looking for...
- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships and delivering a luxury shopping experience.
- Proven Sales skills, including consultative selling, upselling, and achieving individual and store sales targets.
- Interior Design abilities, with experience in space planning, color coordination, and styling home environments.
- Knowledge of Home Furnishings, particularly textiles, bedding, and related home décor products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively and present ideas clearly.
- Previous experience in luxury retail, home décor, or interior design environments preferred.
- Comfort with POS systems, basic computer skills, and managing client information professionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, handle light merchandising tasks, and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or a degree in Interior Design, Fashion, or a related field is a plus.
