Line Cook - Part-Time | Prank Bar
Prank Bar is a casual, chef-oriented bar/restaurant that prides itself on playful energy, solid technique, and great guest experiences. We’re looking for a Part-Time Line Cook who understands temperatures, maintains consistent quality, and speaks Spanish to better serve our diverse team and guests. Compensation starts at $23/hour.
What You’ll Do
Cook menu items to proper temperatures and plating standards** to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
Maintain mise en place and station organization throughout service
Execute recipes with attention to detail and timing
Adapt to ticket times and maintain smooth line flow
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen** with energy, cleanliness, and food safety in mind
Communicate clearly with teammates and front-of-house staff
Uphold sanitation standards and proper food handling
Assist with station setup, maintenance, and breakdown
Support specials and daily specials** as needed
Read and follow recipes and guest orders accurately
Prep ingredients and assist with stock rotation
Qualifications
Spanish proficiency required** (spoken) to communicate with team and guests
Solid understanding of food temperatures and safe handling** (e.g., proper internal temps for proteins)
Prior line cook or fast-paced kitchen experience preferred
Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive team attitude
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
