Overall Summary
The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for performing housekeeping functions in order to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for residents, families and team members while meeting and exceeding Prairieview Lutheran Homes service standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of department policies and procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment and tools
- Perform all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within the area of responsibility or as directed by a supervisor
- Perform related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, stocking supplies, etc.
- Maintains high standards and works steadily at an efficient pace
- Interacts friendly and supportively with staff, patients, visitors and coworkers
- Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in a clean, orderly and good operating condition
- Respects all property of Prairieview Lutheran Homes
- Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.
- Accepts suggestions and direction from supervisors and staff
- Honors department’s attendance, break, behavior, dress and safety codes.
- Accepts and absorbs department education programs
- Exercises good judgment while working around patients and visitors
- Always maintains a professional mannerism
- Takes initiative in rendering service or responding to needs
- Reports any safety issues for repairs
- Responds to direction as provided by director
- Assists other associates as necessary
- In the event of a pandemic or emergency situation, your job duties may adjust to serve in the role of frontline staff to ensure all resident needs are met

Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
