ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Educate customers on fuel storage best practices, environmental compliance, and safety regulations.
- Provide basic troubleshooting assistance for fuel storage systems and dispensing equipment.

- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
- Understanding customer behavior styles.
- Assisting in competitive analysis and strategies in your trade territory.
- Handling customer complaints promptly and with appropriate procedures.
- Adhere to and support the company credit policy, checking credit history of patrons before making sales, and explaining the credit policy to new customers.
- Collects on accounts as needed according to the credit policy. Support the efforts of the Ag-Finance/Credit Manager.
- Communicate marketing programs and deliver sales promotion materials to customers and prospects.
- Establishes a route system in the delivery territory and delivers petroleum products according to customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer files, including tank information, sales delivery dates, and other pertinent details, while recording sales and delivery information on daily sales logs to ensure all transactions are properly documented in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
- Prepares order forms and sales contracts/bookings.
- Submits required reports promptly as requested by supervisor and communicates activities in trade territory on a regular basis.

- Trucks are clean inside and out.
- Work towards professional certification (EA/EMS).
- Work towards achieving the Annual Sales Program and other company programs.
- Attend training sessions and sales meetings.
- Provide assistance to other departments on an as-needed basis and continue to support all other areas of our business when all other assigned work is complete.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) to two (2) years or more of sales experience to demonstrate strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle customer inquiries and concerns.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Additional training in sales, logistics, or the petroleum industry preferred.
- Previous experience in petroleum sales, delivery, or fuel distribution preferred. Familiarity with fuel products, delivery procedures, and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teammates at all levels.
- Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive manner.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and teammates.
Demonstrated core competencies, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
- Obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment and maintain a clean driving record.
- Must be able to obtain, within six months, and maintain applicable professional certifications associated with the energy industry.
- Follow safety and compliance standards to help ensure their well-being and the safety of others.
- Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands.
- The role may require occasional travel to other company locations or industry events, with the ability to travel independently and stay overnight as needed.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training related to the position’s requirements.
